Hi. Just bought a house out in ridge area and looking to set up chickens soon. Any help in this area?? I hear there is an auction on the first thursday of the months in some area close by...?

Welcome to BYC. There is a forum with threads for specific areas, so that might be your best bet. Also, be careful with auctions. Birds that come from them can be carriers of disease that can infect other birds you may buy. And some people are not honest about the age of their birds, which can lead to getting birds that are poor layers.

Thank you. I am having a lil difficulty finding the local forums.

Also. I think the auctions out here are from locals so was hoping a better bird than from some hatcheries. But that is an awesome heads up. I will use your advice wisely. Thank you.
