stained feathers from newspaper ink- what to do?!

Hello All!
I have been using newspaper as litter for my two-week old Pekin ducks, and suddenly their feathers are almost black on their bellies from the ink. Obviously, i will be switching to pine shavings first thing in the morning, but my question is, how do i clean them? the poor sweet things are filthy!

Let them have a good swim each day until the ink is gone- it may take a few days. You dont need to add anything to the water at all - they will preen themselves.
