Stall-dry in the bottom run area of a Catawba Converticoop?

I've got my Catawba in a stationary spot at the moment while I prepare to build the larger permanent coop in the backyard and wondered if anyone's tried putting down a layer of stall-dry in the run to prevent mud and poop accumulation.

Here's a picture of a Catawba I built last year to give an idea of what the run looks like. I don't seem to have a side-on picture of the one I'm using at present, but it's the same design, just cheaper materials.

I have used and still use stall-dry/ its the best .
I even use it to clean up wet concrete
walk ways the chikx got to a few times.
while I was cleaning out the coops \\
and it goes a long way.
