Stalosan F for coccie, anyone?

So we are treating a heavy load of cocci, not a problem in the caged girls but the coop is an issue. Everything i have read says Stalosan F is the best for drying out and helping reduce load of parisites, bacteria in soil. But i can not find it in US, though it says its available.
Anyone have a contact or supplier?

Coccidia is a protozoa and I didn't read anything on their website that said anything about that type of pathogen.

Coccidiosis is best treated with a sulfa drug or amprolium like corid.

Coccidia is everywhere but can be controlled by keeping the bedding bone dry. Remove all moist bedding, put down fresh dry bedding and remove water sources.

Corid is available at Tractor Supply stores in both powder and liquid form. It says it's for cattle but has off-label use in poultry.

Dosage:

Powder is 1.5 teaspoons (NO LESS) per gallon.
Liquid is 2 teaspoons per gallon.

Treat *the whole flock* for 5-7 days and make sure it's the ONLY water they can access during the course of treatment.

Sulmet is another option, but it treats only a couple of the nine strains of Cocci that bothers chickens and it's really hard on their systems. Corid gets all nine strains, and it's super gentle.

Thank you, yes they are on their 4th day of treatment. Coop is my only concern right now.

You're not likely to rid it of coccidia unless you dry it out.

A 10% ammonia solution will kill cocci inside your coop. Make sure you clean out the coop and dispose of soiled bedding/poop, nests included. It is not effective treating soil.

I know this is an old thread and I hope you have your coccie problem under control by now

But I just wanted to reach out and confirm Stalosan F is tested and proven effective in the control of Coccidia. (Along with over 300 other pathogens). It is the most documented and registered dry disinfectant on the market today. It is also proven safe by the US EPA.

Stalosan F should be applied on a weekly basis to keep the environment disinfected, preventing outbreaks; as prevention is much easier and less expensive than treatment.
