Stand off at the O.K. Corral

I have 10 1 year old chickens. I bought 9 new chickens this year. The new chickens were 9 weeks old when I moved them into a separate section of the coop where they could see the mature chickens. At 12 weeks old now, I have put them together. The first day out in the run the younger chickens stayed huddled together in the corner, occasionally trying to wander out but getting chased by the older hens. Second day pretty much the same. Day three, some of the older hens will run towards the door from the coop to the run not letting any of the young ones out for food or water. What to do?

Do you have ample clutter https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/a-cluttered-run.1323792/page-6#post-25037140 to provide hiding places and break up line of sight so young birds have avenues of escape from being chased? How many feeders and waterers are available, and are they spaced apart and placed behind clutter?
