Standard Bronze Mating Ability

I have been on a hunt for Standard Bronze hatching eggs and in the process one of the people I contact said that he doesn't raise them as breeders because the toms are too heavy and cause damage the the hens. Is this true?

I didnt think so, they always have the standard bronze at family farm and home by me and TSC.

That's exactly what I thought but this man calls himself "The Turkey Guru - with 10+years experience with heritage turkeys".... just never know about people.... I just wanted to find a breeder in Washington, never thought it would be so hard.

The standard Bronze can mate just fine yes the toms are huge but the hens are also big. Ours do just fine mating and we have never had any damage.

I think what he ment was the the toms may be agressive... I have notice my toms agressive towards my femals... but the females can handle it... No problems...

Wonderful, and thank you all for confirming my opinion. I am new to all of this, going into my second year, all of my information coming from books and this website and with so many differing opinion... well... you understand the need for clarity.
