I have a 5-week old standard black cochin roo, or what I think is a roo by feather development during week 1.

But now I'm not sure - I don't see any evidence of wattles or comb... my friend, who hatched this baby, kept one from the same hatch - same parents - and says his chick has definite wattles and comb and is bigger all around.

I said some roos just mature more slowly than others... but...

oooo so beautiful!!

I do see wattles and combs on yours at 8 weeks though...

I'll take a photo of my little "boy" (I want him to be a boy!) and perhaps that will help...

He's just looking more and more girly to me
