Hello There!

I am new to chickens (chicks coming in 5-7 days) and also new to Wyoming. Our weather here in Star Valley is a little more severe than most places. So what are your tips and tricks for raising chickens in Star Valley?

I suppose that is a broad question. I'll try and be more specific, but really any advice would be greatly appreciated. So lets see.....Do you put your chickens outside in a coop at 8 weeks WITHOUT a light?

Thanks in advance!!!

I'm new too, so I'm not speaking from experience, but most the people I've talked to keep a light in the coop at least for night time since wyoming can get cold ANYTIME! I'm currently building a house for my ducks and it will be insulated with a light! Especially since its been snowing the last couple days! Gotta live spring in wyoming...
