Starkline Electric Poultry Fence from Tractor Supply????

Has anyone tried the Starkline Electric Poultry Fence from Tractor supply? It's about $100 cheaper than the Premier One kit. I'm wanting something similar to give my girls more outdoor space.

I have used it, but it did not work wonderful for me. Solar powered, but it was very weak and I could touch without getting hardly any shock. It unfortunately did not keep out predators either.

Was that related to how much area you were stretching it over though?

And would that not work on larger predators?

There's a similar budget solar fence kit with the patriot solar fence energizer also.

I have also been wondering if the budget kits will be enough to do both larger areas, and work against larger predators?

In theory you also could check to make sure you don't have tree roots or other things that are drawing power away from the kit by things touching things that shouldn't be. I'm not an expert and have many questions myself about these.
