Started eggs in Incubator

Had veins in some of the eggs.... woot! Will candle again at day 10!

That is a good sign. I set my eggs yesterday in lockdown. 3 chicks and lots of pips...

I set my first set of eggs on 10/04. I know watching them won't change anything, but still I look at them in anticipation. I was going to candle last night but the flashlight was dead! I will be buying batteries today so I can see how many of my 7 eggs are growing. All of them I'm hoping!

It's probably the most addicting and productive (eggs) thing you could do!

Oh it's sooo hard to see through these dark brown eggs! Why did I start with marans eggs anyways? I guess I just like to make things hard on myself . . .

Anyhoo, looks like I've got 5 growing, one not, and one maybe. And I'm already "shopping" for my next set of eggs. I am sooo addicted and I haven't even hatched anything yet.

I candled again last night... is there a candling anonymous somewhere?? LOL Anyway, lots of viable eggs it seems It is VERY addicting and I am on the hunt for another incubator.

Saw movement in the eggs... kinda freaky but very cool! Wrote down the numbers: 12 phoenix, 3 OEG splash, 4 mixed breed and 4 ducks all showing promising results. Fingers crossed that we have some chickies at the end!

Just put my 19 eggies in the hatcher.... I only had one out of the group that was a no grow. Now I wait... is it time yet??? No
