Started my coturnix quail pen! Some questions please?

Finally got my plans togeather. I'm making it 8' long and dividing it into three 32" cages. Now should I make it 2' or 3' deep? If 2' I could keep a quad of 1 male with 3 females. If 3' could I keep 2 males with 6 females, would they get along? I'm planing on makeing 2 pens like this.

Two males per 6 females, really is a weird ratio but it may work if the roos get along and don't torcher the hens. Normally it's 5 hens max to one roo so one hen and one roo extra kind of makes things a lil unratio-like but it may work.

I have many of my birds in 2x2x2 pens, 4 hens to one roo. Works great they have a bunch of room (more than you'd expect). The key is to only put birds together that are compatable and pen that size are not only roomy but cohabitable
