This coop is being built with 90% reclaimed or repurposed materials. Coop will be 12x12, will have a fenced off "hospital" and feed/storage inside. The floor structure was made out of dividers from stalls out of a sheep farm, screwed to 4x4 PT skids. Now, before anyone says "it would be stronger, or why did you build it like that", remember these dividers were already made, and I wasn't about to spend the time to dismantle them. It's a chicken coop, lol. I'm going to use garage door panels for the floor and the siding. The patio was the only flat spot I had to build on, and I'll move it into place tomorrow and block it up to level it out.

Got the floor frame in place and leveled. I thought I had some patio blocks and some half blocks secured, but they disappeared. So I had to use stuff on hand. I know it's going to settle as I build, and I know I'll have to adjust as I progres, but I can continue with the build and Jack up the lower end and replace with blocks if needed.

Remember, everything used up to this time is repurposed materials except for the PT 4x4 for skids. All of floor structure is from sheep paddock dividers, and the shething is garage door panels. They were only 22" wide, so if you look close I had to use a 2x6 on the right side, and a 2x3 on the front side.

Got a little more done on the coop today.
What I didn't know, is the 10' garage door panels are 1" deeper than the 6.5' garage door panels.
The front of the coop I used the 6.5’ panels and framed that wall so they would go to the door frame. The right, left, and back side I used the 10' panels, so unfortunately, the seams are not matching up, lol.

Will you need to add trim to close gaps or is it just something that you'll know and no one else will ever notice?
