starter grower vs grower feed

I have 8 week old chicks and i finished up my bag of starter. I went to the feed store and told them i needed a grower feed and told them the age of chicks. They said ok, called up the stock room and brought out a bag, loaded it in my car and that was that. Got home and checked and it said "starter/grower" it even had a chart on the back that explained after 8 weeks chickens need to go on a grower feed. So long story short, i took the bag back and try to explain what was on the back of the bag to them and they said it was still fine to give them and thats all they had.

so do i need to give them a grower only feed or is a starter/grower appropriate until the next bag? The brand is homegrown and it is 18%.

18% Starter/Grower is grower feed

, used until 18-20 weeks old usually, then they're gradually switched to layer. I'm not familiar with that brand but I used purina starter/grower.
