Starting a Backyard Quail Business

I started a quail business in southern California when I was 12 it taught me a lot about not only caring how animals but also talking with adults, my business lasted for 3 years and i stopped in september 2020, I recognize now that what I was doing was technically illegal, I wanted to know the permits and licenses required to start again, if you have any advice my ears are all open, there's a lot of demand right now and I want to take advantage of it by lowering the average price significantly while still being able to make a profit, I just want legal advice, I'm pretty much covered on everything else

You will need a CA egg handler's license. If you want to sell meat, you need an FDA license, which is terribly expensive, and not worth it for small time.

Check your local ordinances to see how many you're allowed to keep on your property, especially if you're not on land zoned for agriculture.
