Starting a flock

hi all
Know it's too late to hatch, so looking for some hens to start our flock. At least 1 Silky Bantam desired and a total flock size of about 8-10

Wish you were in Western Pennsylvania. I've got four nice little mix breed pullets to to find homes for. three of them are light Sussex /Brown Brown Leghorn crosses and one is a Light Sussex / Black Copper Marans cross. I think they're going to be good little layers.
go ahead and look up the National Clubs for the breeds you're interested in . then start calling breeders in your area. about this time of year breeders are making decisions about which early born chicks they want to keep. This means there will be some very nice started stock out there that was hatched early in the season. which is what you want . you want an early hatched chicks... February March early April. you should be able to start a nice flock with them.
