My husband noticed I was running low on chick starter and tried to be helpful but ended up buying a bag of starter that is a different brand then what I had been using.

I know I have to switch my chicks over gradually but I am not sure how slowly I need to do it. I use 1 quart feeders. Most of my chicks are 3-4 weeks old and have only had chick starter and a few treats and the other group is 6 weeks and have been eating grass and bugs and stuff for a few weeks now. Both groups get grit.

Mix what you have left with the same amount of the new and then transition.

...just mix it 50/50 the old mixed with the new and feed it till it runs out then switch to just the new stuff?
