As i aged I developed all kinds of food sensitivities so wanted to get chickens for eggs. I started with 6. Now have eleven and two ducks. It has really been a learning experience. RK had a coop i was going to get but I didn’t have the truck. Then the pandemic closed schools in our state and no coops no fencing to be had. Had a temporary shelter with a dog kennel and tarps for a while but finally caught full size fencing In stock and my son built a coop.
I am a single chicken lady living in wv beside my aging parents. At 57 with fibromyalgia i am not as strong or fit as i used to be. I still work full time... so far. The chickens force me to be outside more and watching them has been really enjoyable.
Would love to have a mini homestead but with just me it will be just chickens for now.. and 2 ducks, 2 dogs, and I ordered quail eggs, and have 6 new chicks...
