Hi!
I got 7 shipped eggs today. I don't have an incubator yet ( I thought I canceled this egg order, but apparently, that didn't work lol.) I was going to get things to diy one this evening. I have 2 broody hens sitting on eggs right now, but it's day 19, so of course they are hatching soon. I was wondering - is it ok to have the shipped eggs sit in the box, in the basement until I get the incubator going? Or can I/should I get the eggs started and set them under the broodies? I would pull them out when the incubator is ready as I can't have these girls sit for another 21 days (and who knows if they would anyway heh). I know it's common to pull from the incubator to put under hens, but wondering if the reverse will work.
