I decided to try hatching out some ebay eggs. some will come tuesday some thursday. will this be a problem down the road when it is time to turn off the turner ? I'm getting some RLB wynadottes, favarolles, and D'anvers (something I've been looking for ) maybe some std frizzle cochins

I have had great luck with staggard hatches. My daughter wanted to put every silkie egg we found straight in the incubator. I have had 8 out 8 hatch since Jan. 1st none of which were on the same day. She might be on to something...lol

I just did a staggered hatch around Christmas, mostly shipped eggs, and was pretty successful with 10 of 12 hatching. I've read you can stop turning a day or two early so that shouldn't be an issue for you if they arrive as planned. You could get a second bator to hatch in, that's what I did, then you wouldn't have to worry at all. Ebay has some real cheap too. Good luck!

I would put them both in at the same time- make the Tuesday eggs wait until the Thursday eggs come, save yourself the trouble of having to separate hatching eggs/chicks from eggs that need a few more days. Store the Tuesday eggs on the counter, and turn them a few times a day. They should rest after the shipping trip anyway.
