Hi! Congrats on having the opportunity to get quail! I know I am replying a little late, but I would suggest starting with more hens than 3. The ideal ratio of Coturnix hens to roos is 5:1. I would suggest getting 5 or more hens, maybe 6 or 7, just so if you lose any, the ratio will still be good.
