Starting my very first flock

I had 6 chicks in a 4x4 brooder, they were in there until they were 5 weeks...a week too long in my opinion. They weren't fighting but it was obvious they were feeling crowded.
 
Chicks need to move outside as soon as possible! Mine are in the garage brooder for three weeks, at most, and then go to their separate area in the coop.
The brooder plate heaters are much nicer than the heat lamps! Premier1supplies has really good stuff for your chickens; the yellow plastic feeders, and the brooder plates are especially nice.
