Hello,
a bit about me-
After spending the last 10 years in the NC coastline, 3 kids and 2 marriages (the second time did the trick) I have returned home to Michigan, and began the first steps to a desired life of homesteading and self sufficiency. There is much that I want my kids to learn about hard work, responsibility, hospitality, service and much more, Effectively all learned with access to the big city, but in small town areas like Mason/Dansville MI.
we begin with 12 chickens, 3 acres, lots of family nearby (finally) and a tire swing. Not too bad for just starting the first season. Expecting 2 cats, 2 goats, fish tank, and I'm sure more by the end of summer. Picking up what i can find- cheap, and finding all the resources i can acquire to bring my family closer together with a bit of fun and laughter along the way.
