Hello! I have come to a moment in time where showing chickens is getting expensive. In our state, you must get your birds tested 4 weeks before every show. The testing costs 35$ for 4 birds. Ducks however, do not need this testing. I am involved in 4H and have been for 2 years now. I am a showing newbie, but have been raisng chickens for 5 years. I recently just got my Muscovys and i have had them for about a year. I want to show Muscovys, but need more information on it. If anybody has any links/sites or just random information i would love it!

I have 2 Blue Muscovys, one Brown (Or called Chocolate), and one Black. I recently hatched out one Barred Muscovy. He/She is very human friendly since her was my baby from day one. I held him/her all day and played with him/her forever. Hand fed and hand watered him/her. He/she just got her/his feathers. They are Barred. I would like this bird to be my Fit and Show, but dont know if Barred is a color you are allowed to show.

Ive been doing alot of reserch on coloring and showing, but have ended up empty handed.

Thanks!

Welcome to BYC, I have plenty of Muscovy's but only for pets so can't help you on the showing part, but I know of a person who is a BYC member who does show them and maybe if you give him a PM he'll be able to help you out, here is some info on him and good luck with your ducks I just love mine. https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/rosecomb-ryans-member-page
