Starting to wean goat

Hi so i know people separte doe and baby during the night but i only have one baby and only one other doe that i could put wt=ith her and that does is in with my buck who i dotn want to separate at night (she is pregant already but our wether recently passed and the buck hates being alone especially at night) so my question is can i separate them during the day then at night milk the doe (i want ot start using her milk) then put them back together at night because i dont want the baby byherslef at night. so instead of seperating at night and milking in the morning it would be during the day they would be separated at around 8-9 am and put back together at around 5-6 pm and milk her beofre i put them back together or will the baby not nurse enough or not get enough milk during the night

There shouldn't be any problems with what you are doing. How old is the kid? If you have not vaccinated it with CD/T for tetanus and enterotoxemia, do so ASAP.

Another option would be to put the kid in a large dog crate in the same stall with mom at night. Kid can't drink but won't be by itself.
