Starting Turkeys

I'm planning on raising a small flock of Bourbon Reds for Thanksgiving. When should I start them?

I like to start my Bronze Naragansett types in April or May. We butcher in October usually so it is not as cold.

With no indoor heated facilities, I would agree.

Thank you for the info! I appreciate it. I have chicks coming mid-February, so I wanted to be able to start the turkeys a little later, so I don't have a zillion birds in my basement. They will be in a heated area, but I'd rather move one group out before I put new ones in.
