I have a few friends who raise turkeys and chickens. As an outdoor enthusiast and bird lover I have grown fond of the Wild Eastern Turkey and I am trying to get my hands on birds that are very close to the wild bird. (Beard length, spur length, gobbling and leanness) Does anyone know if the Eastern "Wild Turkeys" hatcheries sell are close to that or are they basically a dumbed down version? Any pointers on which hatcheries have the best? Thanks!
