Its hard on here without context. Also keep in mind you are asking for livestock advice so a lot of us are roughnecks and sometimes have a rough manner of speech. The search feature is very helpful but the archives are so massive its best use advanced search and only search the quail section, its massive in itself and you'll have to pick through it. You can imagine in with my post count how many times ive answered the same questions in great detail over and over again. We have jobs and families and flocks and take time out of good will and love of the hobby to help people but repeating yourself in detail makes ti seem like your time has no value to others at times.
I take it easy telling folks to search the forum most times because it isn't much help if they don't even know what question they should be asking. Ill usually provide some links from a search I do with their question to show people how useful the archives are for answering questions quickly. A lot of birds die waiting for people to get around to answering a question, for instance if I dont get on in the morning there aren't more than a handful of frequent posters who have a good knowledge base on poultry diseases that come to this section all the time. If its' deer season I might not check here for days and the same goes for the others with their lives. When all of our days away line up and none of us get on you just have to hope some chicken or pheasant guru gets bored and stops by.
Honeslty if people just read the links that show up below my name which is located in a couple thousand posts they would have almost none of the basic keeping questions. We have all had our encounters with people trying to bleed us for knowledge but not work for it and it can leave a bad taste in your mouth. Especially when you consider that some of us have spent hundreds of hours researching quail problems we may never have. I've never had a disease in my flock yet I couldn't quantify the hours I've spent researching poultry diseases. You can imagine how irritating it is when someone comes here with a sick quail asking for help, and the thing is sick because of them and how they've kept it, when there are thousands of pages of poultry disease research available from universities all over the web.
You just have to see it from both sides and remember that most people get on here in morning or after work and those are two times they are likely to be cranky and not realize. And you're going to offend some people along the way no matter how closely you follow the golden rule.
