I have an India Blue Peacock and an India Blue Peahen. Three of her eggs just hatched. One of the three chicks is solid white (pale yellow). My daughter says it is probably albino but there is no pink pigmentation around the eyes/face so I think not. Is this normal with India Blues? Does it just mean there is a mixture of genes somewhere down the line with a white peafowl? New at this and not sure how this works.

Could it possibly be a black shoulder chick? They are born white. I think both parents would have to be split to black shoulder or one of them bs and the other split?

Black shoulder chick ... the feathers of the wings are pink!... not white !
The albino peacock doesn't exist ... and it's an enigma! Albino = red eye ... there is no white peacock with a red eye!

This is a black shoulder chick:
