Yes, vegetarians are ones that don't eat meat, vegans are ones that don't eat meat, dairy, eggs, or even wear wool, leather, etc. I grew up vegan.

I was a vegetarian for two years, but it got to be too much hassle for my mom to constantly make special things for me, so I stopped. I've never been a vegan though.
