State a fact about yourself!

That's great. Go cry into her feathers if you'd like- animals are great stress relievers. Maybe that's why I connect more with animals than I do humans.

Thanks. :( I'm the same way. I connect to animals far more easily than I do humans. It's like even though they can't talk to me, they understand me and how I feel. You know what I mean?

Right! I talk to my animals about my problems....

Just found out I have to start re-homing my chickens in two weeks.

I was expecting to have at least two months left with them.

I'm coming in late in this conversation. Why are you having to rehome your chickens?

Because my parents want to move back to the city... My great grandparents just moved out of their house that they built 63 years ago and lived in since, and my parents want to buy the house. It's perfect for our family, but the city that we will (possibly) be moving to says NO chickens. I'm still keeping my house chicken, but my other 21 girls and my rooster have to be re-homed.... :( My mom said that we'll know for sure in a week or two if we are moving, and if she says we are I have to start finding my chickens homes... :hit

Where are you moving to? Some city people are trying to change the laws regarding chickens in the city. I'm not sure which cities these are, but maybe they're worth checking out...or have you already?

We are moving to a city in Michigan. The city council just had a meeting about allowing people to have backyard chickens last month, but it takes them MONTHS to decide. By the time they do we will have already moved and my chickens will be gone... My mom said that if they say we can have them, that I can get more chickens, but that's not the same... That's like a mother replacing her children with other ones.
