I started to write a book once. It was a post apocalypse story following a group as they emerge from a fallout shelter after a nuclear holocaust. It was epic. There were groups that had survived on the outside that were known as bandits and the refuge the people from the shelter take Is building a society in the redwoods to escape the low fume of radiation that blanketed the ground like a fog. I had just gotten to the part where the bandits started burning down the forest to get them down when my mom accidentally threw away my two notepads full of story and it killed my momentum.
