State a fact about yourself!

Hmmm.... There system must not be counting the posts right or something. To me it's not a big deal though. I'm not trying to be on the top poster page, I have just been on BYC a lot the last week.
It's not it has said I have posted 169 times all morning even though I keep posting. It's not updating.

maybe someday i will be on the top poster list.

Yeah, it is hard, but they are going to a good home. I'll still get to see them once in a while too. They are going to my moms friend, and we will be buying eggs and goats milk from her. So I'll be able to go there with my mom sometimes.
I feel for you.

I've never had to give chickens away, but I've had 2 previous flocks murdered by 1st a dog, 2nd a cat. *the cat got 2 bantams*

I know what it's like to lose chickens. It still hurts by any means.

I have the best husband in the world. He always tells me he is not helping with the chickens because it's my thing not his,but every time I need help with something he is always there to lend a hand. He has built 2 coops for me, let me use his work shed as a grow out pen. He has helped me with 2 hoop coops, collects eggs in the winter so they won't freeze, helps me butcher excess roosters, lets the chickens out to free range while I'm at work. (We work different shifts) This past spring I had a bad case of chicken math and he kept asking me how many chicks I had. I told him I wasn't sure he would just shake his head smile and walk away. He bought me an incubator for my birthday and everyday he asks me. " How many eggs today?" We have been together 28 years today and he is still my best friend.

Thanks. I have lost and had to re-home many chickens now. It never gets any easier, but I'll be okay. I'll probably be a hopeless wreck for the first couple weeks after they go to their new home, but I'll be alright.

The hardest loss for me was my outdoor cat Chester. He died from what we think was a brain tumor. I cried every time I went outside for weeks. Losing animals is hard...

That is so sweet! I sure hope I can find someone like that some day.
