i'm really happy for you both! i got back on and had some catching up to do on this thread and when i read your first post about sunni it made my heart sink (i almost cried, but y'know....). now i'm all caught up and i'm like *phew!*.

BTW how did this whole thing happen? (it seems like sunni is just a really unlucky bird)

Yeah, she has some pretty bad luck... First she lost her tongue, now this. On Tuesday night while we were eating dinner, Sunni and our dog were under the table. Our dog gets pretty aggressive if the other animals mess with him, and Sunni pecked him or something and he started growling and lunged at her. We think he got his mouth around her head from the front and bit her. I kicked him off of her before he could really hurt her, but the shock almost killed her... But she's doing okay now.
