How does that make the chicken smaller?

I don't know. It just did. She stopped growing once she reached about 4-5 months. It may be because of the way I had to feed her, or what I was feeding her. But I have no idea. I just know she is only about half the size of the other Buff Orpingtons I have/had.

A chick at the farm I used to work at got quite sick and we didn't think she was going to make it. She was barely eating and wasn't out of the woods until a few weeks later when she suddenly picked up and started eating a full crops worth every morning. She also ended up being about half the size of the other ones even after she recovered. Food intake can definitely stunt their growth!
