I woke up to snow this morning

Then I checked the weather:
High, 19
Low, -8
Current, 17
This is the south, not Alaska

i wish we had more snow. despite the record breaking snow we had a while ago, all the skiing/snowboarding mountains are closed (except for the tallest one) because they have nearly NO snow, we drove past our favorite one on friday and it looks like it would in summer. usually they are all covered in at least 5 feet.

aww, sorry about your rooster. My cat disappeared last August, and my sisters cat disappeared a couple weeks back; so I know the feeling.

Wow, I'd be happy to truck some of this crappy rain to you, let it snow up there and spread it around for you! It's not snowing here but raining and barely 34*..... If it snowed here that would be fine with me but this misty, foggy, drizzle stuff is not my bag.

I would love that white fluffy stuff floating down to lightly rest on every twig... I remember up north on moonlit nights walking down an old dirt road in the back of our property with my dog. It was an old railway line. As it snowed the moonlight made ghostly snow swirls all about us. It was magical and we were just mesmerized by the beauty of it all. The air was mild enough that my coat hung loose and open, I wasn't even chilled. The air high above was cold enough to freeze the flakes and the ground was cold enough to refuse to melt the glistening cotton. I think I was 10 years old, when I asked my grandfather if it snowed more before I was born, he just laughed at me.

That's the snow I want..........
