Quote: Aw, I hope she is okayIt must hurt to have an egg crack inside of you.. Hopefully someone can help you in the Emergency section..![]()
I'd like to hear about that too. I would have no idea but I don't know if it's bad or not? or if you just let the chicken be? Does it come out on it's own? Wow
what a strange thing. I really hope she's ok and not hurt!!! Susie Q![]()
really? how would something like that happen? i have no idea how you could help that though... have you made a thread in the emergencies/ diseases/ injuries and cures? i bet there's someone out there who could help somehow... good luck for you both!
I think what happened was she didn't have enough calcium and one of my other hens sat on her or my roo ( I'm fairly sure it was my roo. he weighs about 15 lbs.) braking the egg inside her. All the shell is out as far as i can feel but her prolapse is scraped and was bleeding a little ( you can only see that it was bleeding when she tries to poop and her prolapse comes out you an see dark red ish patches. Her prolapse goes in by its self though) I have her in a crate in a dark room and she has food and water. Brent did one of your hens have prolapse? I thought a wile ago some ones hen did....... ?
Ms heny, with time and a lot of patience, your dog could be trained and taught that the chicken isn't a snack or a meal. I have a dog and a cat that are fine with my chickens and my rabbit! The cat, Luna, is actually a true scaredy cat, curious but scaredI wish I could have a house chicken. .. but we have a dog that'll eat it -_-
Ohmygoodness She's adorable!!!
Gets the adrenaline going doesn't it?Dreamed that I was bungee cording off of the side of a bridge last night....
