My goats have their horns. They poke me with them at feeding time. Nearly had an eye gouged out when she lifted her head as I was pouring feed.

You know that...how? Have I shown you my goats?

I did, didn't I? Yep, Not even a year old, and both doelings have 3, 3 1/2" horns. They appear to be shedding the horns outer layers. I'm new to goats. Is that normal?

I think dehorning is terrible! It gives your goats a big chance of dying! Burning their heads until their horns fall out...If you love your goats you'd understand me!

I have learned if you're in a goat pen, and you bend over to pick something up...if a goat walks under you, watch your eyes!

We do it 10 secs top on each horn, or until a copper ring appear, then we remove the cap and redo it again to make sure we won't have to go through that process again. How you ever own a goat? Have you ever had your behind JAMMED by a horn? I have, and it HURTS.
