I told one of my roosters that he is no-longer a cockerel and now he is a rooster (it is his birthday) and he seemed very proud of it! Lol! I was giving my rooster Bumblebee his birthday treat (part of it was ripped up bread) and he is in a coop (not free range). The coop is a wire coop with large holes in it. And he picked up a piece of his bread and handed it to Puff (who is now my only pullet) through one of the holes. He is such a sweet rooster
