Finally finished getting everything to the new house. We rented a U-Haul truck. We did two loads (filled the truck each time) yesterday, and one today. Each time we had to drive 65 miles to the house and than 65 miles back. We spent so much time in the car...

We just now finally got the last load unloaded. This move was just chaos. Last night my dad and brother were carrying our three snake cages (no snakes in them at the time), and my dad slipped on the snow covered ramp, dropped the cages, fell flat on his face on the snow covered driveway and busted his nose. Then this morning I also almost fell off the ramp and landed on my face. It's just our luck that the day we have been planning on moving for months is the day that we have near blizzard conditions and high temps of only -5 F.

But we are here, animals and all safe and sound.

I've heard of a Serama. Not familiar with them, though. I have 17 chickens: Australorps 3, welsummers 2, EE 1, SS 3, BR 2 and blue ameraucana 6

Seramas are from Malaysia and are the smallest chickens in the world. They've only been in the states since 2001. They are very sweet, personable chickens. They love human contact. I have one that stays inside, well I also have the momma and babies inside because they can't tolerate cold. I'll try to send you some pics tonight when I am at work. I'll pm you with them. Are your hens laying? Mine are giving me a dozen min a day! Not bad huh? And I found out you are about 4 hrs from Bay Minette. Dang!
