No, my cat is very OCD...she never uses her claws...just pats me on the nose when she wants my attention. It works.
If she sees anything she doesn't like or that is different in my room she yowls and either knocks it over, brings it to me, or runs around making a mess until I "fix" it. lol

My cat will scratch the mirror on my bedroom wall, making it knock and bang into the wall. If its on the floor, she couldn't care less. Did I mention she only does it when I'm trying to sleep?
