Hopefully you don't.

I've gotten sick lately. I'm hoping I don't have hantavirus (possibe exposure).

It's better, but I'm worried what I got were symptoms of the virus. Basically, you get sick 1-5 weeks after exposure, then a few days pass where you feel better, then you get serious symptoms for a few days until your body fights off the virus. Serious enough that you need to be hospitalized. Sadly, once you get the first signs of a serious symptom, you have to immediately go to the hospital, as waiting for the symptoms to become unbearable (which can easily be as soon as 24 hours of the first sign you're sick with it) means you've waited long enough that it's potentially fatal.
For the most part, you only know when you get the second set of symptoms, which mostly is just shortness of breath, eventually leading to feeling like you can't breath.
I don't think I have it, but it's a bit scary to think about. I still feel a bit sick (headaches, cramps, relatively mild nausea, etc), which sucks, but it's getting better.
Well thats still about 323 miles away from me because I looked it up!I am getting them from Cal Poly, an agriculture college in San Luis Obispo CA.![]()
