Awesome! I love doing that! :)

LOL! Our landlord is normally very nice, but I'm very irritated with him today.

I have been told 4 different things, so I don't know which one to do. Someone said wait until I get a few good rains before letting them out, someone else said 1-2 weeks, and then someone else said 3 weeks. Oh and of course you said 24 hours. I have no idea which one I should follow... :/
it should be safe as soon as it dries, really. But 24 hours just in case. Do you knw what kind of weed killer it was?

I talked to someone on BYC who's husband works at a company that makes stuff like this, and he said I had to wait a minimum of a week. Unless we get some heavy rain before than.

The weed killer they used was roundup. The factory that makes it claims that it's safe for animals, but I think they were referring to cats and dogs who only eat grass when they have to throw up. Chickens eat grass all day long.

I'm just going to stick with keeping them closed up for a week. I'd rather be safe than sorry. Thanks for the help though. :)

Yeah Roundup is awful awful terrible stuff! Not good for anything at all! I would keep them locked yup at least a week like you said you would, really sorry about that!

Thanks. I'm really frustrated by this... It's supposed to be 90+ degrees all week and now I have to keep my chickens locked up in their hot and stuffy coop.
