QUARINTINE IT NOW!!!! It's highly contagious, although it takes a few weeks to spread after initial infection of patient zero occurs. Here isthe byc avian pox page: https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/avian-pox-how-to-treat-your-chickens-for-avian-pox

She's had it for over a week already. We thought she had gotten stung by a bee in the throat, until we did more research last night. By now it's too late to separate her. It wouldn't do any good to. :( She doesn't have any dry pox, thankfully.

Yeah, thank god for no dry pox. I'm very sorry :( I don't know much about avian pox, so I'm no help.

Thanks for trying to help. :) Thankfully she is doing good, and she doesn't have the dry form. We read on an article last night that the dry form of avian pox is usually fatal. The wet form can also be fatal if the chicken can't breath because of the swelling of the esophagus and the larynx. Thankfully we got her through what we think was the worst of the disease. Now she just has to adapt to eating on her own. Her tongue is in really bad shape right now...
