I live in NJ. Not sure if I'm going to live here forever, but I most likely am. (New Zealand is always a possibility...lol) Our winters are freezing cold, and our summers are ridiculously hot. Some years it snows, some years it doesn't, but it's not like blizzards are a common thing. We will get heavy snow on occasion, but it's usually nothing too bad. (This year it only snowed lightly during the hurricane, but a few years ago we had a blizzard).
