no, that is caused by overbreeding from the roosters. And some roosters are harder on the hens than others.

All of my laying hens are like that... I think that it's that silver laced wyndotte rooster... he attacks me... daffodil runs away from him... Just another reason to get out the stew pot...

Yeah, if he's that hard on the hens and you, you may want to consider culling him.
