Yeah, Houdans are really good. There decent layers, good for show, meat, and pets :3

Yeah, my houdan is a really good layer, she lays me an egg almost every day and hasn't been taking big breaks like some of my other hens. Houdans are also very pretty too, well at least most are, mines not, apparently she likes taking "mud" baths more than dust baths. She is also very sweet!

Not yet. We live about 45 minutes away from our fair, so it would be kind of hard to show them. Because dont you have to go and feed your chickens and stuff every day?

If our new house is closer to the fair, my mom said that next year I can show my rooster Rodney and a couple of my hens

Is going camping. Far enough away to be in the mountains, but close enough to come home each day to feed and water the dogs, cat and chickens. And we're gonna teach the grandchild how to fish!
Cleaned and aired out the old pop-up yesterday.

You should check on your birds daily, but usually the head people feed the birds. If you ever want advice about showing I'll be here! I've done two fairs and have one 2 trophies, 1 rosette and 5 ribbons (not to brag or anything).
