They gave me back my internet... XDlol XD
Yeah, any more attacks?
Yeah, I'm sorry! We have hawk and eagle problems here tooYup. Two days ago the hawk attacked them right in front of me. It was flying onto their backs and then flying back off, and one of my girls was hiding behind a cage and the hawk was attacking the cage trying to get her. I chased it off and I didn't see it again until this morning. It's pretty bad...I can't get rid of it.![]()
I'm sorry for your loss!I lost one of our hens... I do not know what her exact age was so I suspect it was age. I found her in the run dead. She looked as though she found a spot and went to sleep.
I did check her body to make sure she had not been bit by a snake. No signs of that. The other hens were subdued, but were not alarmed.
She was eating fine and drinking water like the rest.
I understand that birds, much like reptiles, can look and be healthy one moment turn around and find them in distress. There were no predators..The dead hen looked as though she had not been killed by one.
We had named her Speckles as her feathers had short horizontal slashes of white along her back. She had been the number two in the hen hierarchy. Her feathers and colors were good. At the end I can only conclude that with out knowing her actual age. She was an old hen that had lived a good life.
Rest In Peace Speckles.
Thank you..I'm sorry for your loss!![]()
