We have an old turtle sandbox in our chicken run leaning against the fence so they have more shade and yesterday afternoon I noticed that it fell over, but didn't do anything because its happened alot before. Then just now I went to go give my chickens table scraps and noticed my favorite pullet was missing. So I looked here and there and everywhere AND COULD NOT FIND HER. Finally, I gave up thinking she would show up soon then I decided to fix the turtle and out came my pullet running out from underneath!! She quickly refueled and rejoined the flock (of course after I gave her treats and babied her a bit). Then the rooster ( who's like 24 weeks old and hasn't started crowing but is for sure a rooster) and her had an epic fight and if I hadn't broke it up there would've been blood and now i officially decided I'm getting rid of him real soon. If it weren't for table scraps she would have been stuck in their for another night or longer. I also took the turtle out cause there not gonna need shade for a while.

Cool, have you checked eBay for hatching eggs? It's probably the easiest place to get rare breeds like that
