State a fact about yourself!

I don't know if this is cheesy or not but you could always donate to a local animal shelter :) That's what I do! It's so nice that a lot of them have an online way to do it now.

I don't trust them all too well; I'd rather buy them actual supplies (toys, bowls, food, etc) and give that to them. I'd rather help the animals then raise the pay of their workers (some money goes to the animals, the rest goes to all other costs, including pay of new workers, renovations, etc).

Understandable, but it is still important. Please do those things if you can!

I find the best rescues are usually the ones run out of peoples own houses.. They usually do everything themselves and have a separate fund for the animals and 100% really does go towards their care. A lot of the time the rescue starts by mistake and keeps going, such as a hungry cat that keeps hanging around their deck, and people start asking for help and so forth.
These people need the money and appreciate it more than you know. I have two that I give to regularly and I have met the owners and sole caretakers of the animals and they are die hard animal lovers. I know one wonderful woman (who one of our cats was actually adopted from) who has had up to 20-something rescue cats in her house at once, almost all needing different veterinary care etc. She is constantly needing funding because she doesn't just put down animals at the drop of a hat if there are any medical problems. Fostering is also another great option if you're able.

Seriously, every little bit helps. Food, money, offering to pay for a spay/neuter (rescues usually have a discount) cleaning supplies etc. Sometimes when I'm out and want fast food or an impulse buy, I decide not to get it and donate food/money in place of what I would've spent!
