Got home and to my surprise!!!! BABIES! 7 of them!!! I miscalculated by a couple days! They are so cute!!! All golden yellow color, well 1 looks like a soft lemon color. Can't wait to start figuring out what I have in pullets/cockerels.

I was in the bathroom when I heard the most awful chicken screams someone could ever imagine coming from the direction of my coop. I quickly ran outside in the freezing cold in my shorts with no jacket to go see what was going on. The sound was coming from inside of my coop, and only 5/6 of my chickens were in the run. I quickly ran to the coop door and opened it. I saw one my only under-developed chicken standing next to an egg.

Loud enough to hear in my bathroom.......

Are they gonna eat him, too? Friend once gave me 9 roosters just to get rid of them. They made for a tough chicken salad, but we ate it.

Spent 3 hours cleaning the chicken coop and sweeping the barn in the freezing cold. Spreading the manure in the fields in the 14 inch deep snow was brutal!
